Crew Get Big Road Win Over New York City

Columbus wins it 3-2 after a red card adds to the drama.

The game was won 3-2 by the Crew but according to Fot Mob it was not that close.

Goals were scored five times in this match. Possession went sixty forty to the Crew. Shots were fired thirty one times combined in the match. Eighteen of those shots came from the Columbus Crew. The Crew managed to score three times on twelve shots on goal. It was not as good for the City. New York managed two goals on six shots on target.

Before the scoring even started there was a huge penalty. A red card was needed. Ilenic was the guilty party. New York City would have to play a man down the rest of the way

The scoring began when New York put one across just before half. In minute forty four Ojeda scored the first goal.

The second goal of the match was just after halftime. Columbus would tie things up. The goal was scored by Ramirez in minute forty eight. Freese could not save that one.

In minute fifty three the goals would continue. This one was also from the Crew. Farsi would make the match no longer level. The lead of two to one was taken by Columbus.

Later, a penalty kick was awarded to the Crew. Hernández would score on the kick. That would up their lead to two. The score would indicate three to one.

After a bit, New York City found a scoring chance late in the match. In minute eighty six Rodriguez would score the final goal. The match was won three to two by the Columbus Crew. What a display on the road.
