Crew Sink Aston Villa
Per NBC4I, the Crew dismantled Aston Villa in a recent friendly match at home.
The Crew won their recent friendly four to one at Lower.com Field in Columbus Ohio. Cucho Hernandez would prove so good in this match. Cucho would score three goals. His hat trick would actually be complete in the first half.
The game would start off a bit slow with a scoreless first ten. There was almost a scoreless first fifteen minutes of play. However, Cucho Hernandez would find the net for his first goal. In minute fourteen Cucho put one in.
The next goal would also be by Hernandez of Columbus. It was scored in minute thirty nine. That made the score two to nothing. But would Columbus have a clean sheet half?
The sheet would actually get a bit messy just before halftime. Aston Villa would score. Archer of Villa scored in minute forty four. Cucho quickly followed that a minute later; that would mark his hat trick. It was another beautiful Cucho goal. The halftime score would be set at three to one.
The second half would prove unimportant to the final score. The Crew would add a goal and keep the second half sheet clean. Russell-Rowe would get the goal almost right at the start of half two (as it was in the first minute of the half).
Players from both teams were in the Olympics so it was an incomplete set for competition. However it was still another match to help these teams train for the fall season.
