Inter Miami were too much for the Columbus Crew yesterday as they defeated the Crew 2-1 in Florida.

According to NBC Sports they were without Messi because of the Copa América tournament. Messi is the captain of the Argentina national team. The Argentinians play Canada tonight at eight pm. est. They last played Friday when they won against Guatemala at FedEx Field in Maryland.

Last night the game was epic. Columbus entered with an expected win and beat odds of +125 to win at Caesars according to Oddspedia. The game was much closer than the score shows the Columbus Dispatch. But it was 2-0 at one point pretty early in the match.

The first two goals were put in by the home team. Miami would let in a goal just before half. Then there would be fifty minutes of a scoreless draw to end the match.

Goal one was lovely (especially for Inter Miami supporters). Fray showed his prowess with a goal just ten minutes into the match.

The second goal came in the twenty first minute. Campana would score for the pink Miami squad.

The third and final goal of the first half was also the final goal of the match. Columbus would get on the board with a goal from forward Hernández. It was a thing of beauty.

The goal scorers were Fray, Company and Hernández; who was the top rated player of the match? That honor would go to Miami's Alba. Even though he got yellow carded, Alba had one tackle and twenty seven passes in ninety minutes played. Hernández was the top rated Crew player; his goal and ten shots earned him that much.
